Putting and end to a needless controversy, Shahid Kapoor spoke to the media about how he does not treat his real house helps in the same way that his character Kabir Singh does. He spoke in an interview how his wife Mira Rajput brought a lot of house helps with her after marriage and he behaves with them with utmost respect. He also added that if he were to break a glass, would apologize to his help and help him in cleaning it.
Shahid, who plays an alcoholic in Kabir Singh, also spoke about how he channeled his inner demons to play a character he doesn’t really resonate with in real life. He said that he doesn’t support smoking, even though his character is a chain-smoker in the film. The Haider actor used to smoke close to 20 cigarettes a day and had to come home and take long showers before he could meet his children.
Kabir Singh is the Hindi adaptation of the hit Telugu film Arjun Reddy, which starred Vijay Deverakonda in the titular role. Helmed by Sandeep Vanga, Kabir Singh will hit the screens on June 21.
