Shah Rukh Khan on his 28 years in the industry

Reflecting on his journey the Bollywood star took to Twitter to thank fans

This week marks the 28 year screen anniversary of actor Shah Rukh Khan. Fans of the Bollywood legend were tweeting their favourite memories from the actor with the hashtag #20GoldenYearsofSRK. After making his film debut in 1992 with ‘Deewana’, the 54 year-old actor has starred in close to 100 films. Namely playing the lead roles in ‘My Name is Khan’, ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’.

The actor turned film producer took to Twitter to reflect on his long and successful career saying, “Don’t know when my passion became my purpose and then turned into my profession. Thank u all for so many years of allowing me to entertain you. More than my professionalism I believe my passionalism will see me through many more years of service to all of you."

The star’s last film was titled Zero, where he played opposite Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. While Zero did not perform well at the box office, fans have been awaiting an announcement on what he will act in next. ​
