King Khan’s fans were overcome with grief when he took a long sabbatical from acting following the flop of his Aanand L Rai film, Zero. While his co-star Katrina Kaif made up for the big bomb at the box office with her next release Bharat, Shah Rukh Khan decided to take time off and spend it with his wife and three children. Then came SRK’s recent announcement when he uploaded a picture with contemporary Abhishek Bachchan, stating they have come together or their upcoming film Bob Biswas.

But fans were disappointed again after finding out that the superstar will be producing the project and not starring in it. While rumours of him signing Atlee have been rife, Shah Rukh has reportedly landed another film in his kitty.
As per trade analyst Komal Nahta, the Dilwale actor will join hands with director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK for their next. This will be a big-budget film and will go on floors in early 2020 and the makers will try to release the film in late 2020 or early 2021. According to Bollywood Life, Raj and Krishna, who recently created Manoj Bajpayee's web series The Family Man, have also directed films like Happy Ending, Go Goa Gone and Shor In The City.

But we are still waiting for an official announcement from either the directors or Shah Rukh himself. When the actor rang in his 54th birthday this year, he said that whatever he will do next, will make sure that it has great content. He recalled his eldest son Aryan saying, "Well, it has been 6 to 7 years since you've done a great film like that and AbRam (son) too, needs his Baazigar or Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to grow up with, so that, he, too, knows how big a star you are. Otherwise, he'll grow up wondering why everyone thinks you’re such a big star because he won't have the films for himself to look up to. It's been so long since you've given a great film like that. You need to do a big, great film soon, Dad." This really stayed with SRK.
