Veteran Pakistani actor Shaan Shahid is very irate at legendary Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan for the latter’s dubbing in The Lion King's Hindi adaptation. King Khan shared a short clip from the Disney revamp on his social media handle on Twitter and the Waar entertainer rushed to criticize him, from advising Shah Rukh Khan to change his voice articulation for a lion’s dub. In a response to Shah Rukh Khan’s tweet, Shaan expressed that, “Please don’t destroy an iconic film with Hindi dub .. no difference in Shah Rukh’s voice, it is like any other V/O he does for his films. At least change your voice expression for a lions dub.”

His second tweet added that, “James Earl Jones must be laughing.. what Shah Rukh failed to understand if that the characters in the film are sketched according to the dubbing artists facial expressions .. if you see Simba he resembles Matthew Brodrick.”

However, as soon as netizens including Shah Rukh Khan fans noticed this, they started calling out Shaan for his comments. Some people went onto state that he is envious but the veteran entertainer explained he doesn't detest the Bollywood star and has no reason to be jealous of him. Shaan Shahid further clarified that he believes in freedom of speech and is entitled for his own opinion towards things. He also said he cherishes his memories of the original 1994 The Lion King.

Shah Rukh Khan will be the voice of Mufasa while his 21-year-old son Aryan Khan has voiced for Simba in the celebrated Disney film's Hindi-dubbed version. Directed by Jon Favreau, The Lion King is the live-action adaptation of the 1994 animated classic.
