In a shocking turn of events Katrina Kaif was booed by an irate fan after a live performance of the ongoing Dabangg tour in Vancouver. The video shows Katrina immediately turning around and facing the heckler in a calm way. She can be seen leaving a venue when she is verbally abused by fans who had come to catch a glimpse of the stars who were taking part in the show.

The minute-long video shows Katrina walking towards her car, surrounded by security, when a woman screams at her for not taking selfies. The woman (off-screen) mocks Katrina and says she thinks too much of herself and does not interact with fans who’ve waited so long to meet her.

According to the video posted on Youtube, Katrina stops in her tracks and turns around. “Ma’am, please calm down,” she says, as her security detail tries to cool the situation down.
They form a barrier between Katrina and the woman, who appears to be accompanied by several others in her protest.

But before things could get worse, Katrina begins taking selfies with other fans, looking poised in front of the camera. Meanwhile, the woman keeps taunting her. The video ends with the woman saying that they’re here “for Salman Khan. Only for Salman Khan!” Other people could be heard praising Katrina for how she handled the situation and her grace.

Here's the video, take a look yourself. Full points to Katrina for handling such a delicate situation with such calmness.

In fact, while in some quarters, Katrina was painted as a villain for acting uppity and cold with her fans, some eyewitnesses have sprung to her defence. Canada-based Instagram user Daanish Dhansi, a blogger and celebrity manager, posted this about the episode.

Apparently some video of @katrinakaif has gone viral which is making her look like the villain. I was with her and team for over 3 weeks and the incident that took place was unfortunately in #Vancouver. Please note #Katrina was out with some of her team, right there bunch of fans came and (started) bothering her for photos. Please note she never says no to pics but she has been performing and meeting fans non-stop since the tour began, if there is a day she likes to be left alone then people should give her space or just ask nicely. No need to get upset and call her names or booing the actress. Are you gonna boo your family if they are not in the mood to take photos or in the mood to come see you? Please respect the star, and if you have an opinion keep it to yourself no need to say it out loud. People might think I am being biased but to be honest if I didn’t like her or her team I wouldn’t even put up this post regardless whether I was working with them or not. Yes she is a mature star, keeps to herself at times and is reserved but yet she will always take photos with fans whenever she can. Please respect celebrities especially if they are female celebs. @deepakkulbhushan@rezaparkview #KatrinaKaif#DabanggReloaded
