Congratulations are in order for actress Scarlett Johansson and Saturday Night Live (SNL) host Colin Jost as the couple announced engagement in an exclusive statement to the Associated Press.
Johansson’s publicist Marcel Pariseau told the AP on Sunday that the couple is officially engaged after two years of dating. “No date has been set for the nuptials,” added Pariseau.
The engagement announcement comes two months after PEOPLE Magazine broke the news that the pair was talking marriage.
“Scarlett and Colin are in love and share many of the same interests and the same sense of humor,” a source told PEOPLE. “Scarlett is very happy.”
“Both are driven and brilliant in their work, and they respect each other. It is a great match,” an insider told PEOPLE. “They share a love for acerbic humor and outrage at social issues gone bad.”
The Avengers star and Jost made their public debut as a couple in November 2017. Recently they walked the red carpet at the Avengers: Endgame premier in Los Angeles in which Johansson plays Black Widow.
The 34-year-old was previously married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2010. She was also married to journalist Romain Dauriac from 2014 to 2017 – they share a four-year-old daughter named Rose Dorothy Dauriac.
For the 36-year-old SNL co-anchor, this will be his first marriage. Jost has been a writer for the late night show since 2005 and Weekend Update co-anchor since 2014.
One of world’s highest paid actress, Johansson has made multiple appearances in Forbes Celebrity 100 and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
