Sara Ali Khan Wants to Work on a Period Film With Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Sara Ali Khan has wooed fans and made waves in Bollywood in just a short time span. She has revealed that she wants to do everything including a period film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Sara Ali Khan has been making waves in Bollywood and has an ever growing fan base. She is slowly rising up the ranks and is most certainly set to make a mark in the industry. With only two films under her belt, Sara Ali Khan has already wooed fans and has come to be recognized for her girl next door personality, charming smile and her quirky style. She has recently made headlines for her alleged romance with actor Kartik Aaryan but has shied away from commenting on the matter. Being young and enthusiastic about her career in Bollywood, Sara Ali Khan is ready to try anything.
With films like Kedarnath and Simmba under her belt; in which she had a radiating presence on screen, Sara Ali Khan has now said that she wants to do “everything” on screen.
"I would like to do everything! People say that and sometimes they don't know what they are asking for but I think, having shot Kedarnath and Simmba, and having experienced the different opportunities and demands these films came with, I know I love them both equally. I would love to work on a period film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, I would love to do an urban relatable film, romantic comedies, commercial masala movies --- perhaps even try action and thriller," Sara said in a recent interview.
The next film on Sara Ali Khan’s agenda is the sequel of Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal 2 which she is currently gearing up for. In the interview, she shared her experience in Bollywood so far and said acting “enabled me to feel and do things that I don't feel or do on a daily basis". She went on to add that "The most exciting is that you forget who you are, between action and cut. You attempt to do justice to somebody else's life and somebody else's story and somebody else's character, and that becomes you.”
Sara Ali Khan went on to talk about how acting in Kedarnath and Simmba were both great experiences which will stay with her forever. "This way, profession allows us to live so many lives and have so many experiences that we wouldn't have been able to on our own. Whether it was Kedarnath or Simmba, acting enabled me to feel and do things I don't feel or do on a daily basis. Some of these experiences and emotions remain etched in our hearts forever," the actress added.
During her interview, Sara also reminisced about the days when she was shooting for her film Kedarnath with which she made her big Bollywood debut. "In Kedarnath, the character was written so beautifully and it was wonderfully nuanced. There are some projects you just want to be part of instantly, and after hearing this narration I couldn't imagine not playing Mukku. For a debutant who hasn't trained in acting, conviction in a script and the curiosity and excitement to essay a character is most important, since that's the clutch that enables you to perform. I am thankful to (Kedarnath' writer) Kanika Dhillon for writing this character that will always stay dear to me," she said.
Sara Ali Khan has recently completed the shooting for the Imtiaz Ali directorial alongside Kartik Aaryan; after which she shared a heartwarming post for Kartik. “It's a WRAP!! 66 days & a million memories… Thank you @kartikaaryan for instantly making me comfortable with you, for selflessly giving and for consistently looking out for me. From coffee’s about you to chai’s with you, I wish we could do it all over again..” she penned.
