Sara Ali Khan spoke to Barkha Dutt at We The Women Festival about being a star child in Bollywood and various other issues prevalent in society like gender disparity and colorism. According to Sara Ali Khan, the star children only had the benefit of access to the right people otherwise it was also hard for them to prove themselves as people were always waiting for them to fail. Her views on colorism sparked a strong reaction as she said that people with dark skins needed to be more confident about themselves and remain unaffected by what people said.
