Bollywood remakes seem to be becoming the talk of the town. Some of these films have gone on to become the biggest successes at the box office, while others didn’t fare well too well. Regardless, they seem to be getting a lot of attention in recent times. Earlier, it was films like Devdas – a remake of which was loved by many and now, Bollywood buffs are excited for the likes of Sadak 2, Satte Pe Satta remake and many others to hit screens soon. Likewise, one other classic from the 90s might be coming to the silver screen as yet another remake.

If you haven’t already guessed it, it’s going to be Sanjay Dutt film. Which one you ask? Well, it’s none other than the superhit 90s film, Khalnayak which will be getting its own sequel soon. While promoting his latest release, Prassthanam, Sanjay revealed plans of bringing Khalnayak back to life. He said, “I can’t speak for others but we are definitely looking at making a sequel to Khalnayak under the Sanjay S Dutt production house. We are still in the talking phase.” Now, that is not the only thing that the actor shared.

Sanjay added that he is trying to approach Jackie Shroff’s son – none other than Tiger Shroff to star in the film. However, Tiger will not be essaying Ballu. In fact, Sanjay will be reprising his role as Ballu in the sequel and will follow him on his journey when he has been released from prison. Tiger will be essaying Ram and Ganga’s son – played by Jackie and Madhuri Dixit in the 1993 film. Now this is one sequel that we are eagerly waiting for. Apart from Sanjay, Jackie and Madhuri, the original Khalnayak also featured Anupam Kher and Neena Gupta for supporting roles. The hit song, Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai was also featured in Khalnayak, which means fans can expect a remake of the same too.
