The next Sanjay Dutt starrer Bhuj The Pride of India, has officially been announced. T-Series took to its official Twitter handle to announce that their film has commenced rolling in Hyderabad. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Parineeti Chopra and Rana Daggubati in pivotal roles and is a war drama film, based on the 1971 war against Pakistan when Indian Air Force squadron leader Vijay Karnik along with the help of 300 women from Madhapur, Gujarat, reconstructed a destroyed IAF strip in Bhuj. This was essential for India’s victory against Pakistan.

Sanjay Dutt has started shooting for the film in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad according to T-Series and the film is set in motion. Ajay Devgn will play the role of AIF squadron leader Vijay Karnik, Sanjay Dutt will be playing the role of Ranchordas Svabhai Ravari ‘Pagi’, a person who can measure someone's details through their footprint. Meanwhile, Rana Daggubati and Punjabi actor Ammy Virk will be playing the roles of men in uniform who served in the Indian Defence forces.

When it comes to the leading ladies of the film, Sonakshi Sinha is all set to essay the role of Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, the social worker who convinced the women to help reconstruct the runway whike Parineeti Chopra will play a spy based in Lahore. Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn have previously been casted together in at least eleven films including Tango Charlie, LOC Kargil and the Rascals among others.

T-Series Managing Director, Bhushan Kumar, took to Twitter to welcome the cast to the film.

The film is going to be directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya and co-produced by T-Series, Krishan Kumar, Ginny Khanuja, Vajir Singh and Abhishek Dhudhaiya. The multi-starrer is slated to release on August 14, 2020. Sanjay Dutt was recently seen in Abhishek Verman directorial, Kalank, and fans can’t wait to see him on screen again!
