A lot of Salman Khan fans have been waiting eagerly for the superstar to work with action director Rohit Shetty. And it seems like their wishes may finally come true. Salman Khan, who announced the sequel to his hit film Kick, may work with Rohit Shetty for the second outing. During one of the promotions of Bharat, Salman told the media how he is indeed talking to Rohit Shetty for a project. According to a report in Pinkvilla, a source informed the website that Sajid Nadiadwala, who has locked the script for Kick 2 is keen to have Rohit Shetty onboard as the director.
The sequel is set to have a lot of high octane car chases and action sequences, and that pretty much lies up Rohit Shetty’s alley. He also feels that Salman and Rohit Shetty coming together would add more star value to it and that it would be winning combination.
The report further states if not Kick 2, Salman and Rohit are in talks over another film, which will also be an action thriller. Jacqueline Fernandez is already in talks for the sequel of Kick.
Kick, was an 2014 action-comedy film, produced and directed by Sajid Nadiadwala. The script was written by Chetan Bhagat and starred Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mithun Chakraborty. The movie like other Salman Khan films was released on Eid and was a blockbuster. Salman Khan has blocked Eid 2020 with his film with Alia Bhatt titled ‘Inshallah’. It will be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Interestingly, Rohit Shetty’s film Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, is set to have a box-office clash with Inshallah. This will be the fourth time that Salman will be collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the previous projects being – Khamoshi, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Saawariya.
