Salman Khan proved his generosity once again by helping those in need
Salman Khan’s generosity of spirit is legendary. The star who founded the charitable organisation, Being Human, is known to help those in need without hesitation. Whenever the industry or even someone outside Bollywood is in trouble, Salman is among the first stars to pitch in with help.
With the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, Bollywood has been massively affected as well. Shoots have been cancelled, events have been cancelled and there is absolutely no activity. A few days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the setting up of a fund where he appealed to people to donate generously to fight the virus. Bollywood opened its hearts and purse-strings with Akshay Kumar leading the way with a hefty donation of INR 25 crore. A lot of other celebs followed suit.
Salman was not to back down either. A few days ago, came the news that he had pledged to support 25,000 daily wage workers of the film industry who had no means of earning during the lockdown period. BN Tiwari, the president of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE ) was a quoted by a newspaper as saying that when they approached Salman, the large-hearted star asked them to give a count of the most affected workers and immediately agreed to contribute for them.
Not just that, according to entertainment website Spotboye.com, the actor has gone one step ahead and deposited money into the accounts of his upcoming film Radhe’s crew members who were scheduled to work between March 26 and April 2. A makeup man Subhash Kapoor, confirmed receiving the money. “What a great thing to do, I thank Salman sir from the bottom of my heart. Times are so tough,” Kapoor told the website. Thus despite the fact that there was no shoot and no work on the film, Salman ensured that the crew was paid.
Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai is an action film directed by Prabhu Deva and it is one of Salman Khan’s productions. It stars Salman, Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff
