Salman Khan has cashed in on the right opportunity to launch his friend and actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar's younger daughter, Saiee in the cop drama. She has reportedly already shot most of her scenes with Salman
It was not too long ago when news about stars Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha returning to the Dabangg franchise made headlines. The third installment, which is being hyped as a prequel, is being helmed by director Prabhu Deva. It will see Salman in two different looks, one from the present and another from the past. While Salman will be seen playing a young man in his twenties, it was not clear which actress will be essaying his love interest. As he takes on the avatar of a lovable neighbourhood goon, the film will trace his journey into becoming a Robin Hood policeman.
Sonakshi will return as Rajjo, Chulbul Pandey's (Salman) wife, he will be seen romancing a younger girl in the flashback scenes of the film. While the identity of the latter has been kept under tight wraps since the film hit floors in April, the suspense has finally come to an end. According to a leading publication, Salman has cashed in on the right opportunity to launch his friend and actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar's younger daughter, Saiee in the cop drama.
A source revealed, “She plays Salman's love interest and her role is primarily in the prequel. However, life comes full circle as the character has relevance to the conflict Chulbul is battling in the prequel.” Earlier, reports of Mahesh’s elder daughter, Ashwami being roped in as Salman’s love interest were making the rounds but now various media outlets have reported that she has no intentions of acting. However, Saiee is reported to have a strong penchant for the profession and has apparently already shot most of her scenes with Salman. "A song will also be picturised on the duo," added the insider. Mahesh himself has been part of the Dabangg franchise, playing Sonakshi's father in the first film that released in 2010.
