Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez were the lead actors in 2014 film Kick, an action comedy produced and directed by Sajid Nadiadwala. In the movie, Salman played the role of Devil aka Devi Lal Singh. Due to the film’s massive success at the box office, it is getting a sequel titled Kick 2, which will see the return of the lead pair. Director Sajid Nadiadwala earlier finished writing the first draft of the script and said, “It’s a nostalgic day for me. I have started penning down the second installment. The first draft is ready. The second draft is in its initial stage. I am excited for the journey to begin as much as fans are to witness it. The devil will return soon.”
According to recent reports, the director and his writing team are moving at a very slow pace to ensure that the sequel lives up to the expectations of the audience. The Kick 2 team has conducted several brainstorming sessions to finalise the idea and the premise of the story. As per reports, Salman and Sajid are constantly in touch to discuss the film and polish the script. Once the script has been finalised, the team will proceed with finalising the shooting locations, which means that the film will only hit the floors in 2020.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan is also occupied with the shooting of the third installment his popular cop franchise, titled Dabangg 3, opposite Sonakshi Sinha. The action-comedy film, helmed by Prabhudeva, will hit the screens in 2019 December. Post Dabangg, Salman will also begin shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah opposite Alia Bhatt. For this film, which is a love story, Salman will have a leaner look and will be losing the extra pounds he has gained for his character in Dabangg 3.
