The second piece of the much-anticipated Indian Netflix crime dramatization, Sacred Games 2 will be back on August 15. Actor Saif Ali Khan, who plays a cop called Sartaj Singh in the web series, will be seen setting out on an adventure of self-discovery, attempting to settle the secret of Ganesh Gaitonde's third dad and endeavoring to rescue his bombed marriage, all while attempting to save Mumbai from a massacre. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is famous for his role in Gangs of Wasseypurwill return as Gaitonde, who, in his mission to restore his power and position as the ruler, sets up another cartel far from his land.
However, it is pertinent to note that two new characters, Batya Abelman played by Kalki Koechlin and Shahid Khan played by Ranvir Shorey, will be joining the show as the add numerous twists to it. Not to forget the all-powerful and charming Guruji (Pankaj Tripathi). The viewers can discover progressively about the narrative of this self-declared renaissance man who assumes a significant job in molding and building the crescendo in the new season.
Shedding light on the second season of the show, producer Vikramaditya Motwane said, “We’re extremely excited to finally be able to share with the fans of Sacred Games what they’ve all been waiting for with bated breath: the date of its release on Netflix,” he said. “This season is bigger, more compelling and totally unexpected. Be prepared to discover a different side to each character as we take the audience on a tremendous journey and address questions left unanswered last season.” The web series is directed by Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan. It is an adaptation of Vikram Chandra's book of a similar name. Writers Varun Grover, Smita Singh and Vasant Nath have adapted it for the Netflix series.
