With fame and celebrity status comes controversy and publicity. But there is one Bollywood celebrity who has been embroiled in controversy more times than usual and it isn’t too hard to guess that it is none other than Kangana Ranaut. From her brutal remarks on other celebrities in the industry, to her public spats with journalists; Kangana Ranaut has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons as of late. Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel has also been on a Twitter bashing spree and celebrities including Deepika Padukone, Taapsee Pannu and Hrithik Roshan have been subjected to her distasteful comments.
While Kangana has not been popular lately, there is on actor who has decided to lend some support to the Queen actor. Veteran actor, Rishi Kapoor has come to Kangana’s defence and has opened up on his opinion on the matter. He has said that he partially agrees with Kangana Ranaut. In a recent interview to an Indian daily he said that “I agree with Kangana Ranaut that some people write anything and as a result, serious journalists get drawn into the controversy. When did I say I was upset? I have not been in the country for months. This is not done, it tarnishes the credibility of other journalists who write and report well. Though I do not entirely agree with what Kangana said, on this point, anyone can get upset.”
He also touched on the recent speculations that he is not currently on good terms with the makers of his upcoming film Jhootha Kahin Ka, for suddenly changing the release date to July 19. On this he 66-year-old said, “Yes, I have been seeing these reports on Twitter and I am very upset with all this nonsense being written. In the last 10 months, I have not spoken to anyone from the media, though they have always supported me,” he said.
In the same interview, the actor, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment in New York revealed when he was expecting to return to India sharing that he has to remain in NYC for a total of eleven months; meaning he won’t be back in Mumbai before the end of August. Rishi Kapoor has been missing his friends, family and home back in India and is looking forward to his return.
