Park Rotana is located in the Park complex, Abu Dhabi and about 45 mins away from Dubai. This hotel is a great choice for a weekend getaway with your loved ones.
I visited the property with my family and as soon as we checked in, we headed for lunch to Ginger, an all-day dining restaurant serving International buffet with indoor and outdoor settings. The buffet is widespread and very good for non-vegetarians. My son Nirvaan enjoyed the kid’s buffet that had popcorn, French fries, fish fries, chicken nuggets and cute lollipops. To keep kids entertained they have a kids corner at the entrance where kids can enjoy face painting, coloring activity and get a twisted balloon for themselves every Friday. The restaurant also offers la carte menu if one wants to opt for that.
The hotel is equipped with Bodylines Fitness & Wellness Club with facilities like swimming pool, gym, spa, tennis court and a few kids ride. They have a pleasant temperature controlled pool and a pool side bar with a variety of light snacks and mocktails/cocktails at offer. Kids can enjoy playing in the baby pool, as well as the rides closer to the pool. Bodyline spa has good massages; we opted for a Thai couple massage. One can also book Hot stone or Balinese massage. The spa is also furnished with a separate female and male sauna, steam room and relaxation area.
The star restaurant of Park Rotana is Teatro, that offers comprehensive a la carte menu with innovative blending of dishes from Thai, Chinese, Japanese Sushi, Indian and Italian cuisines. We were sitting right across the live cooking show kitchen and could see the skills of the Chef twisting around the ingredients. I loved the restaurants interior filled with deep warm colours, the stylish bar setting and the stunning wine cellar. The restaurant had beaded crystal features and array of Venetian masks creates a relaxed ambiance in an atmosphere of casual elegance. The wine connoisseurs will be delighted to pick up the bottle of their favourite vintage from the cellar, I thoroughly enjoyed the wine choices. Make sure when you visit Teatro you are dressed well as no shorts, caps or slippers are allowed. Guests wearing National Dress are also not permitted at the bar.
While you dine at Teatro, here are our personal favourites:
Hot n Sour soup (simply amazing), Edamame, Vegetarian spring rolls, California Maki, Dim Sum with Sake, Egg noodles, Paneer Makhini and Naan, All the dishes were delicious. They have a number of incredible mocktails and cocktails as well. A dinner for a family of 3 or 4 will cost between AED 450-500 without drinks.
A one night stay at Park Rotana ranges between AED 450 to 700 with bed and breakfast. All in all a great idea for a short retreat!!
