Rejuvenate Your Summer Skin With This Face Pack!

The harsh humid weather has the ability to wreak havoc on the skin and rip the skin of its natural moisture and make it dull and dry in no time if not taken are in a consistent manner. Going for a facial every time you feel your face needs a treatment will not only cost you a leg and an arm. So, here tried and tested homemade packs which you can easily make and keep your skin nourished and hydrated.

Gram Flour and Yogurt

One of my personal favorites. Yogurt not only rejuvenates the skin, gram flour has de-tanning properties, and it also locks moisture in the dull skin. Honey hydrates and nourishes the skin naturally. Keep your cucumbers handy and keep them on your eyes for that extra cooling effect.

How to prepare mask:

  1. Mix 2 teaspoons of yogurt with 1 teaspoon of honey
  2. Mix a teaspoon of gram flour
  3. Leave it until dry and rinse off

Oats and Cucumber

Oats soothes and treats dry skin while cucumbers are natural toners and has amazing cooling effects.

How to prepare mask:

  1. Mix 3 teaspoons of oats, 1 teaspoon of cucumbers and 1 teaspoon of honey
  2. Apply and allow to dry completely
  3. Rinse it

Almond/Sandalwood and Rose Water

Giving you two summer masks here. One rose water and almonds and other rose water with sandalwood. This miraculous face pack is quite common in south Asian households. Almonds have natural vitamin E properties and rose water will soothe the skin manifolds. Sandalwood promotes healthy and smooth skin.

How to prepare mask:

  1. Make a fine paste of overnight soaked almonds/ or add sandalwood
  2. Mix rosewater in it
  3. Apply and wait until it dries out completely
  4. Wash it off

Mint and Oatmeal

When you think of mint it automatically means high on cooling agent. This also has brightening and hydrating properties while it is also useful in treating acne.

How to prepare mask:

  1. Process 2 tablespoons of oatmeal and a few mint leaves in a blender to form a paste
  2. Transfer the oatmeal-mint paste into a bowl
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of honey and rose water and mix the ingredients well
  4. Massage it well on face and neck and rinse it off

These homemade facemasks are sure to soothe your skin in many ways possible. Other than face packing yourself, keep yourself hydrated and drink loads of water to keep dullness at bay. Sunscreen is your savior in Dubai’s heat and a must have while consume foods that are rich in water-content.
