Ras Al Khaimah is gearing up to set a world record yet again with a clinching fireworks display this New Year’s Eve. In 2018, Ras Al Khaimah welcomed more than thousands of residents and visitors from around the world to witness a never-before-seen spectacle, where they amazed their audience for a whole 13 minutes as rockets exploded into the sky from 120 different locations and this year they are attempting to make it bigger than ever before and preparations, are in full swing!
Marjan, Ras Al Khaimah’s master-developer of freehold projects, will manage the festive show to mark 2019 with a glittering array of activities that will entertain all at its flagship development, Al Marjan Island.
Viewers can grab a prime watching spot at Al Marjan Island by booking a hotel early to watch an amazing celebration that will include numerous advanced features, such as a mesmerising fireworks display on an extraordinary scale.
The inspiration for the 2018 display was the natural beauty of Ras Al Khaimah and Al Marjan Island, and the show was choreographed into seven chapters and set to global music by 14 renowned composers. The show went on to clinch a Guinness World Record for the ‘largest aerial firework shell’.
