Even today, his roar of ‘Mogambo Khush hua’ resonates with Hindi cinema lovers. Amrish Puri was one of the most iconic ‘villains’ of Bollywood whose one shriek was enough to send chills down your spine. Though he has been part of several award winning films, he was most known for his character of Mogambo in the still-delightful Mr India. Interestingly, much before actors like Irrfan Khan, Amrish was introduced to the Western audiences as Mola Ram in Steven Spielberg’s Hollywood film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom in 1984. Puri has also won three Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting actor.
