Ranveer Singh’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Here’s What You Need to Know
Ranveer Singh has announced his film Jayeshbhai Jordaar and this is what you need to know about the film
Ranveer Singh has stellar projects lined one after the other. While the actor is still shooting for 83, he has announced another project. After rapping his way through 2019 with the blockbuster hit Gully Boy, the actor has now signed his next film title Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Ranveer, who is prepping for Kabir Khan's sports drama titled 83, will be seen in a Gujarati avatar as the story is set in Gujarat. Calling it a 'miracle script', Ranveer took to Instagram to announce his next venture and wrote, "Its a ‘miracle script’!!! Thrilled to announce my next film - ‘JAYESHBHAI JORDAAR.’"
Well, Ranveer's energy and excitement can be seen in a video shared by the actor with the writer and director Divyang Thakkar of the film. The film is being produced by YRF's homegrown producer Maneesh Sharma, who also discovered Divyang, and is set to go on floors this October.
In the video, Ranveer can be seen introducing Divyang in Gujarati and their banter is quite funny. They also go on to excitedly reveal how unbelievable it all seems. Check out the picture and video below:
Describing the film, Ranveer told IANS, "Jayeshbhai... is a film with a big heart. In its concept as well as in its appeal, it encompasses the broadest spectrum of the cinema-loving audience - it's a film for everyone. It is, in fact, a 'miracle script' that YRF found for me out of nowhere. The sheer brilliance of the writing compelled me to immediately green-light this film. Both humorous and poignant, Jayeshbhai... is right up there with the most solid on-paper material I've ever come across."
The film is expected to take place in Gujarat and is said to be a humorous entertainer. It will be the first time in a while that we will be seeing Ranveer take his naturally energetic and exuberant personality to the big screen. As of late, he had been enjoying much success with Gully Boy where he played the troubled yet sweet Murad who learns to express himself through rap and hits big. The film was noticeably more dramatic in tone. Around that time though, Ranveer was a total entertainer in the Rohit Shetty flick Simmba which serves as yet another instalment in his film series of Indian policeman action films, the first being Ajay Devgn's Singham movies. The high-energy flick film showcased all of Ranveer's signature enthusiasm and eccentricity as an initially-corrupt cop.
Though much of the plot of Jayeshbhai Jordaar remains unknown for the time being, fans are enthusiastic about what the upcoming flick by Ranveer will bring. Jayeshbhai Jordaar will be Ranveer's next release after 83, in which the actor will be seen as former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev.
