Peshawa Bajirao aka Ranveer Singh says sportingly in an article in mumbaimirror.com, "Mard ko dard nahin hota" and "Badi badi filmon mein aisi chhoti chhoti baatein hoti rehti hain." Early this year 30-year-old actor had injured his shoulder after falling off a horse, while shooting an action sequence for his upcoming film Bajirao Mastani. In order to recuperate, the actor had taken things slow from the action filled period drama by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
However, post his surgery in April, Ranveer was seen promoting Zoya Akhtar's film Dil Dhadakne Do with one arm in a sling. And in June the actor was back to Bajirao Mastani sets concentrating more on the scenes with dialogues. The actor says,"It's a part-and-parcel of the profession. I'm going about my rehabilitation aggressively and am looking forward to getting back on the set."
But one thing that the actor has laid off is the action! The wait is finally over and the Peshwa will now be seen in full armour! A sword in one hand and shield in the other, Ranveer will ride into the battlefield on a white stallion in September according to a report in mumbaimirror.com. With an intensive physiotherapy programme and a gruelling schedule for the film, the actor is showing his true mettle as the hard working individual that he is.
Priyanka Chopra, who plays wife Kashi Bai in the film says,"Everybody only sees the energetic Ranveer. Behind all the jumping around, is a hardworking person who goes all out for each shot. I've played his girlfriend, sister and now, wife for reel and have seen him in all his avatars. His commitment to the job is applause worthy. Sanjay sir couldn't have asked for a better Bajirao!"
