Ranbir Kapoor to Opt for More Content Driven Films After Brahmastra and Shamshera
Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the release of his next film Brahamastra alongside Alia Bhatt. He recently revealed however that he wants to pick from more unique scripts which have something more to offer
Ranbir Kapoor was lauded for his stellar performance in Sanju in which he stepped into the shoes of Sanjay Dutt as part of his biopic. The film fared rather well at the box office and there is much talk around then fact that it could have been the best performance of the actor’s career till date. Ranbir, who chronicled Sanjay Dutt's life on the silver screen, even bagged awards for his impressive performance. The Barfi star is now eyeing the release of his upcoming film, Brahmastra, in which he will be seen with Alia Bhatt. The Ayan Mukerji directorial recently completed the Varanasi schedule.
Ranger Kapoor, in a recent interview to a leading daily has said that he is now leaning towards content driven films and aims to do more of these types of films. The versatile actor has played a variety of roles and is now in search of a unique script that may have something new to offer. Apart from Brahmastra, Ranbir also has Shamshera and director Luv Ranjan's film in the pipeline.
While Brahmastra was given a release date for this year, it has now been pushed to summer 2020 due to post production delay since the film relies heavily on VFX. This will be the first time Ranbir Kapoor and Highway actor Alia Bhatt will be seen on the big screen together. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, South sensation Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy.
In other news, Ranbir Kapoor was recently spending time in New York with his parents as well as girlfriend, Alia Bhatt. His father, Rishi Kapoor, who is recuperating after being cured of cancer will soon be returning home to India. Ranbir Kapoor has often been the topic of conversation when it comes to his airport swag and sartorial statements. We can’t wait to see more of what this talented actor has to offer.
