Ramadan, being the ninth month of the classic calendar, Muslims observe this holy month worldwide as a period of prayer and fasting (sawm, one of the ﬁve pillars of Islam) from sunrise to sunset. Serving as one of the five pillars of Islam, Ramadan lasts about 29 to 30 days which is based on the moon sighting. The month of Ramadan is celebrated with great zest and fervour.
The Islamic Holy month of Ramadan, which is also spelt as Ramazan is here and celebrities took to their social media handles and wished their fans, Happy Ramadan Mubarak. From Bollywood’s legend Amitabh Bachchan and Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar to the queen of belly dancing Nora Fatehi, many celebrities shared their messages and wishes on Twitter and Instagram.

The social media sensation, Nora Fatehi was amongst the first ones to wish her fans Taking to Twitter handle, Nora shared a picture of herself in a yellow eastern outfit. “Ramadan Mubarak everyone! كل عام وأنتم بخير. Amitabh Bachchan, who leaves no stones unturned to wish his fans, posted a picture of himself and said, “Ramadan greetings ... love peace and understanding”.
