Rakul Preet Singh -- who appears in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi movies -- will be in the UAE on Thursday, 14th November 2019. The actress will be performing at the opening concert of T10 cricket tournament at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium. Rakul recently shared a poster of the concert on her Instagram page and wrote, “Salaam UAE! The star-studded event -- which opens the highly-anticipated cricket championship in Abu Dhabi -- will be hosted by Indian actor Hussain Kuwajerwala. As cricket is a very popular sport in South Asia, the concert is focusing on South Asian entertainment. Apart from Rakul Preet Singh, it will also include performances by Pakistani singer Atif Aslam, Bollywood celebrity Nora Fatehi, south Indian model Parvati Nair and Bangladeshi actor Shakib Khan. Starting at 8 pm, the event will go on for three hours and include music, live dance and pyrotechnics.

CEO of Abu Dhabi Cricket, Matt Boucher has said that the addition of ‘a full-blown opening ceremony concert’ to the cricket tournament ‘truly embodies the spirit’ of their partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism, with the aim to ‘push the boundaries of sporting entertainment through the creation of unique global destination attractions’. The concert's tickets are available online, with prices starting from AED 25 and going up to AED 600. More than 100 international cricket players will be part of the league this year and the first match of the tournament will take place on the following day, Friday, 15th November, with the Northern Warriors competing against Maratha Arabians.
