Rajkummar Rao Promotes Made in China, Shares Hilarious Video Trying to Sell a Pen to Leonardo DiCaprio
Rajkummar Rao is playing the role of a Gujarati businessman in his upcoming flick Made in China, slated to release on Diwali this month.
Rajkummar Rao is currently busy promoting his upcoming flick Made in China, in which he is playing the role of a struggling middle-aged Gujarati businessman, Raghu Mehta, who goes to China for brighter prospects. The actor recently shared a hilarious video on his Instagram page to promote the film. In the video, captioned as “When Raghu Bhai met Leo Bhai. #MadeInChina,” viewers can see clips from Leonardo Dicaprio’s 2013 film Wolf of Wall Street, in which he asks a man in the audience to practise his sales techniques by pretending to sell a pen. After the other man responds, Rajkummar (as Raghu Mehta) enters the scene and responds to Leo, saying, “Leo Bhai Kem Cho! Arre Leo Bhai this pen is your story but the refill is the hero. So sell hero.”
The video ends with Leonardo clapping for Rajkummar, seemingly impressed by his selling skills. The actor’s fans are appreciating the video and his marketing skills, saying it’s “funny” and creative”.
Made in China, helmed by National Award-winner Mikhil Musale, also stars Mouni Roy as Raghu’s wife Rukmini along with Amyra Dastur, Gajraj Rao, Sumeet Vyas and Boman Irani in vital roles. Producer Dinesh Vijan has said the comedy film’s characters make it “endearing” and the actors had “such diverse offerings as performers” and they were “lucky” to have them all sharing screen space. The makers have also revealed how Rajkummar shared his personal foreign travel experiences with the director, including a trip to China, during which he had to face several issues, including a huge language barrier, which will also be one of the highlights of the film. Made in China was originally scheduled to hit the theatres on 15th August but was postponed and will now be releasing on Diwali, clashing with Housefull 4 and Saand Ki Aankh.
