There’s no day that goes by on which Kangana Ranaut doesn’t make the headlines. Kangana is known for her outspokenness, her witty remarks and is that one Bollywood celebrity who is most often surrounded by controversy. She has recently been involved in an ongoing feud with Hrithik Roshan with her sister Rangoli Chandel making matters worse after lashing out at celebrities on social media. Just last week Kangana was involved in a bitter spat with a journalist at the song launch from her upcoming film Judgementall Hai Kya. While the Queen actor has made her mark in the industry for adopting versatile roles and for her stellar acting skills, she has also come to be known as the the queen of controversy.
And now, Rajkumar Rao has opened up about why he thinks Kangana has gained the reputation of Bollywood’s controversy queen. Rajkumar Rao will be starring alongside Kangana for a second time in Judgementall Hai Kya, with the first time being in the 2014 hit, Queen. In conversation, Rajkummar reasoned why Kangana gets trapped in the controversies. He said, “This tag has been given to her by the media and the people.” He went on to add that “She speaks her heart out. She doesn’t keep anything to her heart. That’s the reason may be sometimes people take it otherwise.”
Rajkummar who is excited to be teaming up with Kangana once again, believes Kangana to be rather fearless. “We have mutual respect for each other. We have appreciated each other’s performances in our respective movies,” he said. The actor was then questioned about whether he ever judged Kangana or vice versa, to which he responded, “We didn’t judge each other as persons, but yes we judged each other’s characters from the movie Queen. It was when we were performing the scenes where I leave her and go to the US.”
Their upcoming film has been marred by controversy owing to its sensitive nature. The film underwent a title change it was earlier not deemed appropriate and was insensitive in nature. Since its trailer release, the film has created much hype and is all set to hit screens on July 26.
