R Madhavan Replaced by Rajkummar Rao in Fanney Khan Because of His Shocking Demand!
Rajkummar will now play Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's love interest in the film
Off late, there has been a lot of speculation about the final star cast of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s much awaited film, Fanney Khan. Amidst all the buzz about who will play Aishwarya Rai’s love interest, reports suggested that the filmmakers had finally zeroed in on R Madhavan, with Rajkummar Rao being the other contender. It was also said that Aishwarya was keener on Rao while Mehra was sure about wanting Madhavan in the film, resulting in him being chosen.
In a sudden turn of events, it is now said that Madhavan has opted out from the film, leaving Rajkummar Rai in the running for the male lead, opposite Aishwarya. A report on BollywoodLife suggests that Madhavan’s exit was due to him not being able to accommodate the film because of his dates. However, a source close to the film revealed, “The real story is that Madhavan asked for a huge remuneration. He wanted Rs 1.5 crore for a 15-day shoot. And the makers felt that it was not justified. The plan is to make the film within a certain budget and the price quoted by Maddy didn’t align with that. It was mutually decided he couldn’t be part of the film and Rajkummar Rao was brought in immediately.”
Considering the fact that Rajkummar Rao is a talent to reckon with, we can’t think of a better replacement to star alongside iconic actors like Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Given a chance, who would you choose to see Aishwarya Rai romance in the film? R Madhavan or Rajkummar Rao?
