Remember, how Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner tied the knot in a surprise wedding in Las Vegas on May 1, after they attended the Billboard Music Awards 2019 with Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas.
Spilling the beans, Priyanka Chopra said in a recent interview that the wedding was super spontaneous and fun.
Though, the wedding came as a surprise to many, the Quantico actress said in an interview to an American Television show, that it’s so them (Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner).
"That was so fun. It was so fun! And it's so Jophie, I call them Jophie. It's like, trust them to do that. That is Jophie," Priyanka said.
The news of Sohpie and Joe’s wedding surfaced the internet after DJ Diplo took to his social media to post a video from their wedding ceremony.
Speaking about the wedding, Priyanka Chopra further added, "It was really funny. We were at the Billboards. Joe I think had this idea that he wanted to do this. But we were at the Billboards and he had these little black cards that we all got. We were randomly inviting our friends, like people that we met. We were like, 'alright, we're going to set up this wedding now, we're going to the chapel right from here, and please arrive, please arrive'. We had Diplo, Khalid, they were really sweet, they arrived."
After the wedding, the newlyweds along with Priyanka and Nick Jonas painted the city red in a pink Hummer limo.
"It was so funny! I mean, we were driving around this pink Hummer limo. I was outside the window. It was just epic," she said.
"I had that long hair extensions that I thought was going to fly out of the window. It was that kind of night, a Jophie kind of night."
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner announced their engagement on October, 2017 after dating for more than a year. When asked about their togetherness, Sophie had said, “You do feel like you’re living in a fishbowl.
“I’m happier than I’ve been in a very long time,” she said in another video. “I very much isolated myself for a while and forgot what was fun. Going out with friends, going out to eat, not really having a care. And people I’ve met recently in my life have drawn me out of that. It really helps you own those insecurities. The things I tortured myself about before, I can forget about.”
“A lot of [my happiness now] is to do with being with a person I’ve fallen in love with, who loves me more than he loves himself, and who wants to see me find my own happiness,” she told Glamour U.K. “That was probably the biggest thing that pushed me to find who I am — and find my happiness in things other than acting.”
