Prince William and Kate Middleton Still Remember Their Visit to SOS Village in Lahore

Although Prince William and Kate Middleton are back in London they still remember their visit to SOS Village in Lahore. Here are the details.

Prince William and Kate Middleton visited the SOS Village for children on the fourth day of the royal tour. This was a part of their schedule for the Lahore visit. During the visit, they mingled with the orphan children who are raised as a family by the organization. Prince William and Kate Middleton also took a part in the story-telling activity wearing hand puppets. Both children and the royals had a great time as there were no formalities involved.

Although Prince William and Kate Middleton are now back in London, they still remember their visit to the SOS Village. In a recent post by Kensington Palace, showing pictures from the visit, the caption included Kate Middleton’s much-appreciated speech at the venue.
‘The community at the SOS Village is built around family - and the best possible family you could imagine - where everyone comes together to nurture, love and protect the children in their care.

These vulnerable children, many who have come through traumatic circumstances, are nurtured in this caring environment and are able to form these quality relationships that they so desperately need to thrive.’

This was her first speech during the visit. The Duchess also incorporated Urdu in the speech which showed Kate Middleton’s liking and eagerness to learn more about the local language. Earlier, while engaging ina candid chat with the women of Kalash Valley, Kate Middleton also learned the local dialect. She asked for the translation of ‘Thank you’ in the local language so that she could thank them for their warm hospitality.

The royal fans’ love and regard for the royal couple has only increased with their visit to Pakistan.

Prince William and Kate Middleton, being the parents to three children of their own, have always been great with children. Prince William’s photo as he carried his cousin Zara Tindall’s daughter Mia Tindall on his shoulders did rounds on the internet in the past. During the royal visit to Pakistan, Prince William and Kate Middleton expressed the same warmth for children. Be it mingling with children in the Government School in Islamabad or spending time with the children of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, the royal couple stayed humble and warm throughout the visit.
