Prince Harry Protecting Meghan Markle and Archie from 'Whatever it Takes', Says Friend

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been at the forefront of royal drama and have started their transition. Prince Harry will do what it takes to protect his family, says a friend

The royal family was making headlines after the big shocking announcement by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to step away from the royal family earlier this month. The couple, together with their baby, Archie, have decided to lead a financially independent life and after the Queen’s approval will be living between the United Kingdom and North America. And now, the couple has jetted off to Canada and have started their transition into their new life.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have now successfully stepped down as senior members of the royal family and are working to become financially independent. After an intense few weeks, Prince Harry's friend and polo star Nacho Figueras has opened up about the couple in a new ABC News special titled 'Royal Divide: Harry, Meghan, and the Crown'. He speaks about their decision to make their move to Canada and the reasons behind it.

"He's being a father. This is a guy who is trying to protect his cub and his lioness from whatever it takes,” he said. He went on to add, "I spoke to Harry a few days ago. He has suffered a lot from all of the things that have happened to him. He suffers a lot from people judging him."

The couple has faced intense scrutiny since they got married. From racist coverage to publishing private letters, the British media's coverage has come under the spotlight more than ever. Another friend of Prince Harry echoed similar sentiments as Nacho's. JJ Chalmers, a former Royal Marine, told BBC, "When you look at the decision that he's made, I think at the forefront of that is to protect his family, because that's the number one rule, is to be a father and to be a husband." Do you think Prince Harry made the right decision to step down as a royal?
