The news of the rift between Prince William and Prince Harry have gained momentum since Prince Harry’s interview with ITV host Tom Bradby where he said that he and his brother Prince William were on different paths. Prince Harry admitted that as brothers you have both good and bad days. However, he clearly stated that he loved Prince William and would always be there for him when he needs him. Things were always not the same though. Prince Harry shared a close bond with his sister-in-law Kate Middleton even before she married her brother. He also took his girlfriend Chelsy Davy for a double date and trips with Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Prince Harry was delighted when Prince William and Kate Middleton announced their engagement. He said that he was delighted Prince William had popped the question as he found a sister in Kate Middleton. Prince Harry said,
‘I am delighted my brother has popped the question! It means I get a sister, which I have always wanted.’
The cheeky prince commented,
‘I’ve got to know Catherine pretty well, but now that she’s becoming part of the family, I’m really looking forward to getting her under my wing – or she’ll be taking me under her wing probably.’
Prince Harry and Kate Middleton shared a friendship and respect while she was still dating Prince William while studying at the University of St. Andrews. He often stayed with the couple in their four-bedroom cottage which they had rented for their university days. The trio also frequently visited Balmoral together. After graduation Prince William and Kate Middleton moved to a farm house in Anglesey. Prince Harry, who was working in the military, would often join Prince William and Kate Middleton whenever he got some time off. Thins only changed after some time of Prince Harry’s wedding and now they are not spotted giggling and having fun times like before.
