HELENA BAJAJ LARSEN
Textile and Fashion designer
Born to an Indian mother (artist Sujata Bajaj) and Norwegian father (academic Rune Jul Larsen), fluent in five languages and raised in Paris, Helena Bajaj Larsen is a citizen of the world. The Parsons School of Design alumnus was shortlisted for the Grazia Young Fashion Achievers Award, and was one of the five selected brands at the Lakmé Gen Next Fashion Week. She showcased her collection this year as well. Last March, Helena launched a line of home products with Comptoir 102 in Dubai and exhibited her work at New York Fashion Week. Currently, she is working on a project with DIFC. A designer who merges her love for art, photography and fashion, Helena brings her Indian ethos and global tastes to create fabrics that are timeless and eclectic.
SIGNATURE STYLE: Geometric silhouettes in silks, wool and cotton canvas subjected to surface techniques like silkscreening, machine knitting, felting, laser and etching.
