Parineeti Chopra has undergone a huge transformation from the time she entered the industry. A couple of years ago, she made headlines for her makeover post which she emerged all svelte and sexy. Ever since, Parineeti has tried to maintain her strict diet, avoiding any heavy food or indulging in any wrong eating habits. Nonetheless, we hear that the actress couldn’t stop gorging on a particular Bihari dish while shooting for her latest film Jabariya Jodi that releases later this week.
Director Prashant Singh reveals, “There is this scene in the film in which Parineeti Chopra has to eat Litti chokha. We were concerned if Parineeti would eat it or not because it’s very heavy. But when she tasted it, she just loved it. She ended up eating quite a bit. I think she loved the taste.” Litti Chokha is a rustic and traditional dish of Bihar which is essentially made of stuffed whole wheat dough balls, where the stuffing is a spiced mix of roasted gram flour.
Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra on set for Jabariya Jodi
Starring Sidharth Malhotra, Parineeti Chopra, Sanjay Mishra, and Mohit Baghel, Jabariya Jodi is based upon the tradition of groom kidnapping, prevalent in Bihar. It is perhaps for the first time that Sidharth and Parineeti are seen in such rustic roles though Parineeti has played a village girl in films like Kesari. Produced by Ekta Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures and Shailesh Singh’s Karma Media Net, the film is directed by Prashant Singh.
The film will release on August 8 in the UAE.
