Nita Ambani Wanted Her Only Daughter Isha Ambani to Learn This

Nita Ambani and daughter Isha Ambani share a close bond. They are often spotted together spending quality time together

Nita Ambani is a philanthropist, educationist, and one of the most successful businesswomen in India. Nita Ambani was always passionate about dancing. She was a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and it was dance that became the reason for her marriage to the famous industrialist Dhirubhai Ambani’s eldest son Mukesh Ambani. Her parents in law saw Nita Ambani (who was Nita Dalal back then) dancing on stage and instantly knew she was the one who would be most suitable for their eldest son Mukesh Ambani. Dance, therefore, played the role of cupid in her marriage.

Although she found a loving husband and supportive parent-in-law, Nita Ambani had to battle against infertility. She became a mother after seven years of marriage. Nita Ambani and Mukesh Ambani were blessed with twins Isha and Akash Ambani who completed their heaven. According to Nita Ambani, of all the roles being a mother was her favorite role. Isha was Dhirubhai Ambani's favorite grandchild and he would not even begin his day without looking at her picture he always kept with her.

Nita Ambani came from a middle-class Gujarati family and despite marrying into one of the richest families in Bollywood kept herself grounded. She wanted the same for her children and hence always remained strict about their upbringing and education. Although the couple gave their children wings to fly, Nita Ambani really wanted Isha to learn dance but the five-year-old Isha Ambani lost her way to the first dance class. And she never learned to dance again. Although Isha loves dancing on the family occasions and weddings, she is not a trained classical dancer like her mother Nita Ambani.

However, Isha Ambani did pursue her mother's passion for education and taught at a nursery at Stanford while she was studying there.

According to Nita Ambani, ‘For me, dance is like meditation. It’s my connection to God. I’m lucky I have found a passion that keeps me going. I find it rejuvenating. I think it’s very important for every woman to experience something that allows her to connect to her innermost self.’ Nita Ambani was one happy mother when her children got married. Nita Ambani loves dressing up and her sense of style is mostly glamorous yet Indian.
