Game of Thrones was one the most loved TV shows by people across the globe. Throughout its run time of 8 years, the show acquired a huge fan following of its own – some who were fans of the book written by George R R Martin, and others who just loved what they saw on screen. Nevertheless, it is one of the most popular shows in the history of television. Game of Thrones aired its final season earlier this year which wasn’t very well received, but that doesn’t mean that the stars have become less popular and that was evident from Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s latest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Nikolaj played the Kingslayer, Jaime Lannister in the hit HBO series. On the late night talk show with host Jimmy Kimmel, he shared that most of the cast members will be heading to the Emmys and that their Whatsapp group has sprung back to life. He also revealed some details about their group stating, “Alfie Allen who played Theon Greyjoy in the show is the most active member on the group. He posts songs for everyone. Gwendoline Christie uses the most emojis, she’s an emoji fan, followed by Lena Headey. Peter Dinklage would also use them, but very rarely and it’s usually just a ‘thumbs up’.”
Fans are however still talking about the show after it aired the last episode in May earlier this year. Nikolaj shared, “I’ve been travelling quite a bit and when they see me, they whisper, ‘What did you really think about the ending?’ And when I say that I thought it was great, they reply, ‘Really?’” Nikolaj has been nominated for an Emmy award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his performance in Game of Thrones, for the first time, along with his co-stars from the show, Peter – who has won the title thrice already – and Alfie. However, Nikolaj feels he stands no chance against Peter.
