Netflix Show You Season Three Will be Even Darker. Here's Why
You, Netflix's hit show, stars Penn Badgley in one of his most loved roles, Joe Goldberg, and will be returning for a third season soon
Penn Badgley's Netflix show, You, is one of the most popular ones right now. The second installment of the series premiered late last year, and fans flocked to the online streaming giant to watch the show. The first season saw Joe Goldberg, Penn's character, turn into a psychotic killer. And for some reason, fans started to admire the character, even though Penn repeatedly stated in interviews that the character shouldn't be admired for what he does. While that is all said and done, the second season saw him meet yet another girl and had its own set of twists as turns, after which a third season was officially announced - after Penn hinted it in an interview.
But what will the upcoming season entail? Season two saw a new character, Love Quinn, as Joe's new found love interest - who turned out to be equally creepy as Joe himself. In the season, Love is a young widow but it doesn't show or tell how her husband passed away. And that's what season three will explore. Love tells Joe that she was married to a man named James Kennedy. He passed away due to cancer, according to her. But since Love is also a murderer, we are not too sure now if that is true.
While that's something that we will find out in the third season, Love is also pregnant - which opens yet another door of problems for Joe. In the end of the season, he is seen moving in with Love, but still not done with his old ways as he was also spotted eyeing the next-door neighbour, eager to learn about her too. And maybe stalk her like all the other girls he has been stalking so far. Season three is expected to premier in late 2020, but no official confirmations of the same have been made yet.
