Favourite food memory:
I am a total foodie and love exploring exotic and progressive cuisines. Eating a meal while seated on the Chef’s Table at Gaggan Bangkok – one of the best restaurants in the world headed by the genius chef Gaggan Anand - is my favourite food memory till date.
Favourite restaurant/s in Dubai:
Carnival by Trèsind and Gia, both located at DIFC are my current favourite restaurants, besides my all-time favourite, Zuma.
Taking special guests out for brunch or dinner:
We Brunch at Hotel Intercontinental at Dubai Marina does the most fun brunches or a brunch or dinner at Hotel Cartagena, JW Marriot Marquis is where I would go to have a great time with friends.
Any memorable/exotic dining experience outside of the UAE:
Having an exotic thali at Chokhi Dhani in Jaipur in a traditional setting will always stay as a memorable dining experience.
If you were to host at home, what would the menu read like:
It will be Thai food all the way. From the curries to papaya salad, it will comprise all my favourite Thai dishes. Mango sticky rice has to be the grand finale for sure!
Meeting or interacting with celebrity chefs and a celeb chef crush:
I had the opportunity to meet and dine with noted chef Marco Pierre White a few years ago. It was fantastic and very memorable. I have also interacted with India’s most celebrated chef Sanjeev Kapoor, once again in Dubai. I have to say, both of them have such distinctive personalities, the entire experience was very inspiring.
The weirdest thing you have eaten:
Chicken feet. I regretted it from the first bite and will never have again!
Guilty pleasure when it comes to food
It’s got to be my sweet tooth. Rasmalai is my absolute weakness.
A hidden gem/hole-in-the-wall eatery you would recommend:
Manvaar at Karama has the best daal bati churma and for Arabic cravings, I would suggest Al Mallah at Al Dhiyafah.
