Nawazuddin Siddiqui seems to be going for a complete image makeover in his next film, Bole Chudiyan. The National Award-winning actor has generally been seen in rather intense roles in movies like Manto, Thackeray, Sacred Games and Gangs of Wasseypur. During a recent interaction with press, Nawazuddin revealed how he will be performing a rap song, Swaggy Chudiyan, for his upcoming film. The actor said, “I am not a singer but I have to say that rapping a song is a different experience, and the credit goes to the music director. Yes, I learned the lyrics and practised the song, but somewhere it was the music director who extracted the performance from me."

The song will be used by Nawazuddin’s character in the film to sell bangles. The actor, who loves listening to old Hindi songs by Mohammad Rafi and Kishore Kumar, further said, "I do not want to be a singer in the near future, but the specific rap song has raw elements that goes well with my voice. That is why they decided to feature my voice."

Bole Chudiyan is a romantic-drama and will also mark the feature film directorial debut of Shamas Nawab Siddiqui, Nawazuddin’s brother. The movie was recently in the news due to a controversy regarding its leading lady. Mouni Roy was initially cast as the female lead but the makers eventually replaced her with Tamannaah Bhatia, saying that her behaviour was unprofessional. While answering questions about this controversy, Nawazuddin said, “Look I am working as an actor (in the film), and all I want to say is we are lucky to have Tamannaah on board," he said, adding: "What happened between actress and producer is their matter. I refrain to comment. But I am excited to work with Tamannaah."
