Ranveer Singh’s 83 was released in cinemas in late 2021. The Christmas release was one of the most-awaited films of Bollywood, but because of COVID, the film failed to make a big success at the box office. But with OTT platforms taking the lead and more and more people tuning into digital streaming platforms to watch their favourite films and series, 83 is going to be next on the list. Ranveer Singh’s film is releasing on Netflix sooner than you imagined.
According to Bollywood Hungama, 83 will be releasing not only on Netflix but also on Disney+Hotstar on February 18 or February 25, 2022. While Netflix has bagged the Hindi rights to the film, Disney+ Hotstar will be streaming the movie in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

About 83
83 is based on the Indian cricket team’s World Cup win in the year of 1982. The most iconic game in the history of cricket was played on June 25, 1983, in Lord’s Cricket Ground in London against West Indies. The final match was full of dramatic cricket all through the tournament. Teams like India and Zimbabwe who were underperforming during those times scored victories over the West Indies and Australia respectively. The Indian bowling exploited the weather and pitch conditions perfectly to bowl out the West Indies for 140 from 52 overs, winning by 43 runs.
83 stars Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev. It also features Deepika Padukone as Romi Bhatia – who is Kapil Dev’s wife. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Hardy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Dhairya Karwa, Boman Irani and many others. The film was released in cinemas on December 24, 2021 but failed to fare well at the box office owing to the pandemic that has plagued lives for the past 2 years.
