Mother’s Day 2019 was the global day for mothers everywhere. Mothers all over the world are celebrated today. Our celebs shared similar emotions and messages on social media posting the images of their mothers with endearing captions. Mahira Khan posted a picture of her hair being combed by her mom. Mehwish Hayat posted a wonderful message to her mother and sisters Urwa and Mawra Hocane also shared lovely images of their mother, Razia Makhdoom on their Instagram celebrating the day. Actors such as Armeena Khan, Hira Mani and Adnan Siddiqui also shared wonderful mother’s day messages. Adnan Siddiqui shared a clip from Sridevi and his own film Mom.

Adnan Siddiqui posted: “These lines touched my heart. “Bhagwan couldn’t be everywhere, so he created mothers”. Dear Ammi, I miss you. I wish you were here. I can tell you mothers are irreplaceable for children. When a mom dies, her child is no longer whole. The loss makes it hard to breathe. Sometimes I landed on solid ground, sometimes I landed in a pond and almost drowned. But I’m still here. I survived. I often pray that you are able to know some of my joys. I hope you can know some small piece of my life. I wish you could have met my wife and your grandchildren and I wish you could have felt proud in your heart for my achievements and the excitement of becoming a father. You missed it all, but I’m hoping someday I will see you and you will tell me you were there with me. You will tell me you sat there in heaven and watched each time. I hope you will tell me you were able to see my daughters and son’s face when they came into this world. Oh, how I could have used your help. How we could have shared laughter and snuggles together with my babies. They are all getting big now. I hope you can see how tall they are growing. They fight, a lot, but they also play well together. The times they play are sweet jewels in my day. When they make me smile out of pure joy. Mothers are special.....very special. Love them, cherish them, celebrate them every single day. When they’re gone, the void will always remain. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers.”

Mahira Khan had initially posted about her mother’s sister saying, “When I shut my eyes and think of my khala.. I hear her singing ‘ dekho yeh kaun aaya..’ I can see her smiling big and singing to me. She did that when I was a baby and she still does that. I love you my soul mate, my idol - thank you for always believing in me and my crazy dreams. Happy birthday my most beautiful khala @kulsoom.khan.9

Yesterday on Twitter, Mahira shared that she missed her mother telling her how she would appreciate being a mom once she had her own kid. “I kinda miss my Ama telling me - Jab khud ke bachay hongay tub pata chalay ga,” Mahira said. “She was right though- just like all mothers I love madly and unconditionally , worry constantly and pray emphatically for my azzu! Happy Mother’s Day to all.”

Mahira is the mother of a young son named Azlan Askari and she is often seen sharing lovely moments with her son. “Life as I know it,” she posted once with ‘Azzu’ as she likes to call him.

But Mahira is also a daddy’s girl, and posted this adorable picture of her childhood and her father, “Will always be grateful that I was chosen to be your daughter. My coolest Aba, my life. P.S also grateful for this side of the Khan family cool’ gene,” she posted.

Tamgha e Imtiaz winner Mehwish Hayat also posted an ode to her mother on her Instagram. “Sometimes the sacrifices that our parents make for us are forgotten. My mother could have been a leading drama artiste with an illustrious career of her own. Instead she chose to give it all up to bring us up. We often dismiss “just being a mother” as something ordinary - but it is possibly the most important job in the world. My mother is a really strong woman. Her strength comes from having been tested by all of life's unpredictability,” posted the Punjab Nahin Jaungi actress. “It comes from having to soldier on for her children, even when she would much rather have given up. I know it hasn't always come easily, but I also know it's her greatest gift. I am so proud that I got to grow up with a mother who taught me to believe in me. For that I will forever be grateful. I love you Ammi ! A very happy mothers day to all the wonderful mothers who have given selflessly to their children and given them the wings to fly!”
