Shortly after Pakistani actor Mohsin Abbas Haider’s wife accused him of domestic violence, he came out to defend himself while speaking to OyeYeah earlier today on Sunday. “I’ll definitely come out with my truth. I’m happy, she did this. I was waiting for this for so long. I’ll now open up with the truth in front of the public, along with the proofs. I will tell the world what happened in our relationship for three years. But I’m happy that this toxic relationship will leave her and me soon,” said Mohsin. “I will address a press conference soon.”
Mohsin’s wife Fatema Sohail has accused him of beating her with kicks and punches when she found out he was cheating on her with Pakistani model Nazish Jehangir. In a detailed note published on Facebook last night, Fatema stated that she remained quiet about the horrific incident for the sake of her baby who fortunately remained unhurt during Mohsin’s assault on her last year in November. It is pertinent to mention that Fatema was pregnant at that time. However, Fatema added that, she was beaten again earlier this month in July when she went to Mohsin’s house, asking him to take responsibility of his son.
Pakistani singer Dua Malik also supported Fatema’s claims and said the allegations on Mohsin Abbas Haider are true as she herself has witnessed him beating his wife ruthlessly on the road apart from harassing her to such an extent that Fatema did not speak to her family or friends for years. “It’s only me she had called out of fear and hid this like a prisoner for three years. I kept on telling her to grab some himmat and speak out. I have kept quite because she told me that she is praying he changes,” adding that she told Fatema to not take his shit and move on when she caught him living with model Nazish Jehangir. “Women are not rehabs! You are a CON ARTIST. Now rot in hell with Nazish.”

Pakistani actor Mirza Gohar Rasheed posted a series of tweets, confirming the aforementioned treatment meted to Fatema Sohail by his husband Mohsin Abbas Haider. “The injustice that took place with Fatema Sohail, I was a second hand witness to it in 2018 when my friend took Fatima to the hospital after she had been beaten up by Mohsin Abbas Haider. Through her I got to know the whole Story. Fatima is like a sister to me,” he said. “SHE, wanted to save her marriage and ensure the health of her baby so we respected that and kept quiet but now since she is out with the truth herself (more power to you.”

Actor Ahsan Khan and singer Junaid Khan also shared their views pertaining to the incident. “Any man who abuses his wife is a criminal, this behavior is abhorrent, execrable, and despicable. I hope that any and every man who abuses his wife - emotionally of physically - is punished to the full extent of the law, socially ostracized, kicked out of public sight, Nothing less would be right,” said Ahsan.
Junaid stated that, “Struggle or abuse of any kind be it mental or physical should never take place. INFACT ABUSE IS NEVER AN OPTION!!! After giving their best shot if two individuals fail to survive in a peaceful environment then they should just part ways in the most humane and civil manner. And that's exactly what our religion teaches us as well.”
Prominent figures in Pakistani industry have spoken up as well.

Sources familiar with the incident said, “It took Mohsin Haider's wife a few years to expose him but im happy she finally did it. My sister used to be their neighbours and she used to tell me he beat her every other day. Once he even dragged her from their home out to the road. Onlookers came to save her.”
