The first song from movie “Mission Mangal” has been released. It is called “Dil Mein Mars Hai” and highlights the blood and sweat that was used into making this mission a success. The song features Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan who play the characters of Rakesha Dhawan and Tara Shinde, whose dream is to reach Mars. The song is sung by Benny Dayal and Vibha Saraf whereas the music has been composed by Amit Trivedi. It is penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and portrays the efforts of a team of scientists, mostly women, who put their heart and soul into India’s first Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) which was launched by the Indian Research Space Organisation in 2013.

A lot of fans feel that the song reminds them of the tune, “Om Mangalam” that featured Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan from their film “Kambakhht Ishq” even though the music and lyrics are completely different. The trailer of “Mission Mangal” was reviewed well by fans and followers apart from inspiring funny memes all over the internet that compelled netizens to burst into laughter. The plot revolves around a group of scientists who struggle to fulfill their dream and end up achieving the extra-ordinary.

Akshay plays mission director and Vidya the project director. Taapsee Pannu is the navigation and communication in-charge, Sonakshi Sinha is responsible for propulsion control, Sharman Joshi in in-charge of payloads and Nithya Menen is person in-charge of satellite design. The film is directed by Jagan Shakti and is set for release on August 15 but will be clashing with John Abraham’s “Batla House.” It will also celebrate its Australian premier at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. It is pertinent to mention that Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer “Saaho” was also being released on the same date but has been postponed now.
