Bollywood star Milind Soman shocked fans when he announced his marriage back in 2018. But more than the marriage, people were surprised at the age difference that Milind shared with his now wife, Ankita Konwar. The actor was 52-years-old when he got married to his long time girlfriend, Ankita, who at the time was 26-years-old. But madly in love, the two never cared about their age difference or what people had to say as long as they were happy with each other. While Milind has once before spoken about their age difference, the two are now trying to break taboos around marriage and relationships through an ad.

In a toothpaste ad, Milind and Ankita are seen reading comments off social media that have been address to them. These range from calling Ankita a "gold digger" to him being called "an old man marrying a young lady", which are straight up insensitive and rude towards the couple who seem to be very happy together. Milind addresses some of these comments but it isn't until Ankita says, "If you are with somebody that probably the whole society is really happy with but you are not happy, then what is the point of being in such a relationship?" that the ad hits hard.

Milind then adds that there is a big age difference between him and Ankita - 26 years to be precise, the same age gap between him and his mother, but Ankita adds that age is, in fact, just a number at the end of the day. Addressing all the comments couples get to hear because of who they choose to love and why, the actor concluded, "Conventionally, society has created barriers for people when they fall in love. I think everybody should be free to choose who they love and who they like and that should be based just on feelings that they have in the heart. It should have nothing to do with the society."
