Meghan Markle's New Job
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had announced that they would become financially independent after stepping back as senior working royals.
Meghan Markle had a thriving Hollywood career before she married into the royal family. She also had her own blog ‘The Twig’ and apparently everything seemed to be in her stride professionally. However, everything was put on hold when she decided to marry Prince Harry who was fifth in line to the British throne. According to the royal protocol, she was not allowed to opt for a paying job as a senior working royal. However, in January 2020 Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they were stepping back as senior members of the royal family and wanted to become financially independent.

“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment. We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages. This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity. We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties. Until then, please accept our deepest thanks for your continued support.” - The Duke and Duchess of Sussex For more information, please visit sussexroyal.com (link in bio) Image © PA
Since the couple is all set to be 'free' from royal titles from April 1st 2020, Meghan Markle has lent her voice for the narration of Disney’s documentary ‘Elephant’ as confirmed by Disney in the latest trailer. Meghan Markle will be narrating the story of an African elephant and her child as they migrate with their herd across Botswana’s Kalahari Desert.
Since ‘Elephant’ will be available for live streaming from April 3rd 2020, it implies that Meghan Markle recorded it some time ago.
Allegedly, Prince Harry had pitched Meghan Markle’s work as a voiceover artist to Disney CEO Bob Iger when the couple had attended the European premiere of Lion King in London. The controversial video had surfaced on the internet and Prince Harry was greatly criticized.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had announced that they would split their time between North America and Britain after leaving the royal life. However, since the couple has already released their staff in Britain, it is uncertain if that will be the case in future. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had earlier moved to Vancouver Canada but are now reportedly staying in California to be close to Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland and pursue a career in Hollywood for Meghan Markle.
