Meghan Markle, Hillary Clinton Share a Fangirl Moment at Frogmore Cottage
Hillary Clinton is on a publicity tour for The Book of Gutsy Women which she has co-authored with her daughter. She met Meghan Markle at her home.
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, was not just another Hollywood actress before she got married to Prince Harry. Meghan Markle was always vocal about the causes that mattered to her and was involved with various global platforms like the UN to bring a positive change to the girl. Meghan Markle started her activism when she was just 11 and wrote a letter to the First lady Hillary Clinton to record her protest against an advertisement that showed women belonged in the kitchen. Hence, from a very young age Meghan Markle became a known figure and was heard all over the country for her views.
Hillary Clinton, the former First Lady and candidate for the American President's office, is currently visiting the UK for the publicity of The Book of Gutsy Women which she has co-authored with her daughter Chelsea Clinton. She was invited to the Frogmore Cottage on Tuesday, November 12th, 2019 by Meghan Markle to spend some time with her and baby Archie. It was kind of a ‘fangirl’ moment for Meghan Markle as she had been treated with compassion by Hillary Clinton when she was the American first lady. Hillary Clinton also talked about her third grandchild Jasper as she cuddled with Archie.
Earlier, Hillary Clinton had spoken lovingly about Meghan Markle. She said that as a mother she wanted to hug Meghan Markle. According to Hillary Clinton, Meghan Markle should continue doing what she thought was right. Hillary Clinton had also faced the intense media spotlight when her husband Bill Clinton was the President of America and had to deal with a famous scandal.
According to Hillary Clinton, humor and deflection could have been some of the coping techniques but what Meghan Markle was going through was tough and she deserved a lot better.
Hillary Clinton also met Prince William at Kensington Palace a day later.
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has always been proud of her American roots. She is still an American citizen by law and is vocal about her love for her homeland. Recently, she also shared an image on Veterans Day about her visits to the army camps in 2014.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are currently on a six weeks break from their royal duties and will get back to action after New Year. Buckingham Palace has also confirmed that they will not spend Christmas with the Royal family at Sandringham. Instead, they will spend this Christmas with Meghan Markle's mother Doria Ragland. It is still unconfirmed if it will be in Los Angeles or somewhere else.
