While some of us may still be recovering from the bomb dropped by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Meghan Markle has jetted off and is now back in Canada with her son, Archie. Just a day earlier, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced on their official Instagram account that they will be ‘stepping down’ from their royal duties and splitting their time between the UK and North America. Buckhingham Palace took little to no time to send a response in the form of a statement and now, Meghan Markle is back on Canadian soil.

After spending just three days in the United Kingdom, where they attended their first royal engagement of the year, Meghan Markle has returned to Canada to be with son Archie Harrison. She leaves behind an embattled Prince Harry, who is currently attempting to resolve problems that arose from yesterday's announcement.

It appears that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the decision to leave baby Archie in Canada with friend Jessica Mulroney and a nanny as they attended to business, multiple outlets report. The Duchess of Sussex returned to Britain just long enough to attend her and Harry's first royal engagement of the New Year and to reveal they will be stepping back from their roles as "senior" royals.

Some reports suggest that Prince Harry will join his wife and child in the coming few days while others say he needs to attend another royal engagement next week. As Meghan Markle returns to her son in Canada, the rest of the Royal Family is celebrating Kate Middleton's 38th birthday.

In other news, BBC reported that the Queen had called an urgent meeting to discuss the Duke and Duchess' surprise announcement. It was at this meeting, with Prince Charles, Prince Williamand Prince Harry, that Her Majesty directed all individuals work together to find "workable solutions" within days, not weeks.

Later that night, members of the Royal Family and the Middleton family were seen arriving at Kensington Palace, where the House of Windsor threw an intimate dinner for Kate Middleton.
