Mawra Hocane, Feroze Khan will share screen space in Yasir Nawaz's film Chakkar
Mawra Hocane confirmed that she will be starring in her next Pakistani film called Chakkar opposite Feroze Khan
The Pakistani film industry seems to be growing at a faster pace than ever. The past few years saw some great films such as Bol, Khuda Ke Liye, Moor and Dukhtar. This lot was multiplied exponentially and many filmmakers then turned towards the silver screen which numerous films releasing throughout the year instead of only during the festive season. The likes of Cake, Na Maloom Afraad, Punjab Nahi Jaungi, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani and many more were loved by many - wherein Cake was also sent in for an Oscar consideration last year.
With many films still slated to release, there has been an announcement for a new pairing that fans will be able to see on the silver screen. Mawra Hocane and Feroze Khan - both of whom have already made their film debut - Mawra in Bollywood as well - will be seen sharing screen space together next for a film called Chakkar. According to Images, filmmaker Yasir Nawaz will be directing the film. He told the publication, " The leads will be Mawra Hocane, Feroze Khan and myself. The cast also includes Javed Sheikh and Ahmed Hassan - who played Happy in Wrong Number 2."
Without giving any crucial details, Yasir also revealed, "It's a thriller but it does have some moments with a lighter mood there too, although I wouldn't call it comedy. I've done the story, the screenplay is by me and Zafar Imran, who's also handled the dialogues. The music will be done by a number of artists but it will all be done locally. We already have a track by Ahsan Ali Taj and Ali Tariq. The film will also be shot in Karachi." Mawra also shared a video of herself on Instagram confirming the news. As of now, it is still unsure when the film will go on floors, however, it's expected to release on Eid 2020.
