Masala! talks to Chitrangada Singh
In conversation with the star who's a class apart from the dancing dolls of B'wood
Chitrangda charms us with her wit and charm as she takes on some tricky questions from Masala!
Right from your debut film, you were compared to the late Smita Patil. Are you tired with these comparisons?
No one can be tired of being compared to a great actress like Smita. I've always taken it as a huge compliment, more so, because she is no longer with us. It means people remember her every time they see me.
You've worked with actors like Kay Kay Menon, Shabana Azmi and Irrfan Khan What did you draw from each of them?
It's challenging to work with such brilliant talent. However from an actor's perspective, when you work with such people you become more comfortable with yourself and that gives you the required confidence. The experience encourages and enriches you and makes you want to experiment more.
What is Chitrangada's fun side like? What's the wildest thing she did as a teen? What does she really want to ask Salman Khan? The star reveals all these secrets and lots more only in the latest issue of Masala! magazine.
