The beautiful lobby on the 35th floor

Take a luxurious bite out of the Big Apple by staying at the gorgeous Mandarin Oriental, New York, which is high up in Time Warner Centre. This property is not only centrally located but has opulent rooms and award-winning restaurants too. What's really unique is that the lobby entrance sits on the 35th floor and features floor-to-ceiling windows with breathtaking, panoramic Manhattan views. It's quite unreal. What can you expect when you stay here? Well, for starters, unbeatable views of the Hudson River, Central Park and Manhattan's glittering skyline, trying some of the best Asian-inspired cuisine the city has to offer and sleeping in their beautiful rooms or spacious suites which ensure you are surrounded by style and comfort at all times. It's no surprise A-list celebrities love staying here too!

The Rooms The 248 Asian-inspired rooms are statements in luxury. You can choose from various rooms and suites including the City View room, Hudson River Room, Central Park View Room or if you are in the mood to splurge, the mindblowing suites. What's great is, all guestrooms have views of either the city skyline, Central Park or The Hudson River. We stayed in the Central Park View room and were lucky enough watch the sunrise over Central Park and gaze at the Manhattan skyline from the comfort of our luxurious king-size bed on the 42nd floor located on the eastern side of the hotel. The rooms had raw silk bedspreads and pillows in Chinese red adding to the Oriental-inspired design that is predominant throughout the hotel. The stunning granite and marble bathrooms with large soaking tubs and separate glass-enclosed, walk-in showers are simply divine and very generous in size.

The Culinary Experience While there is no dearth of amazing eateries in NYC, the restaurants and bars at the Mandarin Oriental, New York offer the rest of the city some serious competition.

Asiate We visited the award-winning restaurant designed by Tony Chi, Asiate on the 35th floor on a cold rainy night but that didn't stop us from being wowed by the shimmering view of the skyline and park as we indulged in fine French and Japanese cuisine.

Lobby Lounge A great place to unwind in the hotel, after the spa of course, is the Lobby Lounge for a spot of afternoon tea.

We enjoyed a lovely evening sipping on exotic cocktails at the hammered nickel island bar area at MObar, after a long day of shopping. It was welldeserved.

The Concierge We made sure to take advantage of the hotel's amazing concierge team who are available 24 hours a day. be it booking a broadway show, a table at a swanky restaurant, a concert at carnegie hall or a horsedrawn carriage ride around the park for us, everything was done in a jiffy and with a smile.

The Spa and Pool The 14,500-square-foot spa of sand-coloured marble and dark wood is an oasis of Asian serenity that made us forget we were in a city. With six treatment rooms, a Thai yoga room, a VIP spa suite with a fireplace amongst many other lavish touches, this haven will make sure you feel relaxed and rejuvenated throughout your stay.

Room Rates The centrally located hotel boasts 248 rooms which start at Dhs3,812 for a Hudson River View Room, Dhs7,800 for a Central Park View suite and Dhs9,951 for a Premier Central Park View suite, all excluding taxes.
